7 days before

No binge drinking
Skews liver markers and hormone levels

Not been sick - flu, covid, etc
Illness inflates immune and inflammatory markers. Push the test if you are still within 7 to 10 days of being sick

Stop all supplements
Can interfere with multiple markers
Protein powder and omega 3s are fine to continue

No sauna use
Elevates cortisol and heat stress markers
24 hours before
🏋️
No structured exercise
Spikes hormones, inflammatory markers, and liver enzymes. If possible, leave 48 hours
Light walking, stretching, or swimming is fine

Delay if you had major stress or a bad night of sleep
Thyroid, inflammatory markers, and liver enzymes can shift dramatically
Push the test one week forward if needed
Night before

Fast for 12 hours - stop eating by 8 PM
Stabilises glucose, insulin, and lipid panels
A 16 hour fast vs 12 hours can read very differently on glucose
Morning of

Book your draw between 8 and 10 AM
Captures peak testosterone and a clean 12-hour fasting window
Try to keep the same time and day for every retest - consistency matters
No coffee or food before your draw
Both alter cortisol and metabolic readings

Drink 1 to 1.5 L of water before you go in
Dehydration lowers blood volume and can falsely elevate haemoglobin and haematocrit, masking conditions like anaemia
